The Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu has reaffirmed the unwavering support of the Dr. Alex Otti–led administration for the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) in its drive to build a skilled, efficient, and future-ready Nigerian workforce
.Dr. Chukwu disclosed this in Umuahia, Abia State, when he received a delegation from the ITF on a working visit to his office. He noted that the present administration places high priority on due process, institutional growth, and human capital development and values that align strongly with ITF’s mandate.

Speaking on reforms within the Bureau since he assumed office, the founder Oluebube Chukwu Foundation further highlighted the progress recorded in strengthening procurement processes, improving transparency, and building systems that ensure governance is done “the right way.”

He expressed gratitude to Governor Otti for providing him with the opportunity to serve and for creating an enabling environment that promotes accountability and efficiency.
According to him, the Due Process Bureau will continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to support ITF’s activities in the state.
Chukwu also pledged to facilitate stronger enforcement of the ITF Act, particularly the requirement that all registered companies with five or more employees remit 1% of their annual revenue to the Fund to support training and workforce development initiatives.
Earlier in his remarks, the leader of the ITF delegation and Area Manager, Mr. Nwigboji Nwafaga, said the visit was part of the Fund’s ongoing campaign to sensitize public officials on ITF’s role in national manpower development.
He expressed concern that the South-East zone has been lagging behind in key ITF programs and appealed for stronger support from the Due Process Bureau to increase participation and access to training opportunities across Abia State.
Mr. Nwafaga also sought the cooperation of the Bureau in ensuring contractors doing business in Abia comply with provisions of the ITF Act, adding that improved compliance would translate to more training opportunities for Abians.
“We will continue to push for programs that will upgrade the skills of Abians and enhance productivity across the state,” he added.
Top management staff of both organizations were present at the event.
