The Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu has highlighted the development strides of Governor Alex Otti’s administration, urging sustained and mobilised support from the grassroots to consolidate the gains of good governance.

Dr. Chukwu made this disclosure during a meeting with members of his Umunna (kindred) on Tuesday 30th December 2025, at Obuohia Umumeze in Amuda Town, Umunneochi Local Government Area, where community leaders and family members gathered to deliberate on unity, progress, and collective advancement.

Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Chukwu noted that Governor Otti inherited a challenging financial situation but has, through discipline, transparency, and prudent management of public resources, begun to restore fiscal stability to Abia State. He explained that the administration’s approach to clearing inherited debts and blocking financial leakages is freeing up resources for critical infrastructure, improved welfare, and sustainable development across the state.

Chukwu, who further urged for a mobilised support for Governor Alex Otti’s administration, emphasized that continued backing from communities is essential for the government to deepen reforms and deliver more people-oriented projects at the grassroots level.

In the spirit of the Christmas season, Dr. Chukwu also feted his people by distributing bags of rice and wrappers, enabling members of the Umunna and their families to enjoy the festivities. The gesture was received with appreciation and described as a reflection of his commitment to shared prosperity and communal solidarity.

Highlights of the event included robust discussions on community development, prayers for peace and progress in Amuda and Abia State, and reaffirmation of the role of the Umunna as a platform for dialogue, unity, and cultural preservation in Igbo society.

The meeting ended on a note of renewed commitment by participants to support policies and programmes aimed at strengthening good governance, economic recovery, and inclusive development in Abia State.
