Building A Legacy Of Excellence In Public Procurement

Earlier today, 10th October, 2024, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, shared his vision for the bureau during an interview on The Platform at Flo FM, Umuahia. Dr. Oluebube emphasized that the bureau is on course to become a national pacesetter in public procurement before the end of the current administration.

Reflecting on the past, he noted that the bureau was non-functional before the advent of Governor Alex Otti’s administration. However, under his leadership, it has undergone significant transformation in terms of staff strength, professional training, and operational capacity, all aimed at enhancing service delivery to the state.

Dr. Oluebube also highlighted the strategic partnership between the Abia State Bureau and the Bureau of Public Procurement in Abuja. This collaboration has enabled valuable knowledge sharing and improved access to resources, positioning the bureau for greater efficiency and accountability.

The commitment to integrity and transparency continues to drive the bureau towards excellence, setting new standards in procurement practices within the state and beyond.
