The Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has applauded the pivotal role of Methodist priests in nation building, describing them as invaluable assets to the kingdom of God and to the service of humanity.

Dr. Chukwu disclosed this on Sunday, December 14, 2025, during the induction service of The Rev’d Charles C. Lekwauwa at Bethel Methodist Church, Obinolu Ngodo, Isuochi, in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State.

Speaking at the event, he commended the newly inducted priest for his calling and devotion to the work of the gospel, urging him to remain steadfast and focused in advancing the spiritual growth of the church and positively impacting the community. As a mark of encouragement and support, Dr. Chukwu presented the priest with a vehicle, noting that it would enhance his efficiency and ease his pastoral responsibilities in the service of God and nation building.

The induction ceremony, held at the Cathedral Circuit of the diocese, formally installed The Rev’d Lekwauwa as priest-in-charge. The service was conducted by the Very Rev. Fidelis C. Ogbodo, Presbyter of the Cathedral Circuit, under the chairmanship of Elder Nneoma Francis Madu.

The presentation of the vehicle sparked jubilation among members of the congregation, who broke into songs of praise and offered prayers of thanksgiving for Dr. Chukwu, commending his generosity and unwavering support for the work of the church.

The Bishop of the Nneochi Diocese, Rt. Rev. I. K. Tasie, also offered prayers and blessings for both the newly inducted priest and Dr. Chukwu, describing his gesture as a demonstration of love, encouragement, and partnership in God’s work.

The induction service attracted clergy, church leaders, and worshippers from within and outside the diocese, making the occasion a memorable and celebratory event for the Methodist community in Isuochi.
