On November 13, 2024, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process and Head, Abia State Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau received HRH Eze Nduchekwa Ike, Charam II of Mbezi Autonomous Community, Mbala Isuochi, during a courtesy visit. Dr. Chukwu used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to ensuring that rural communities in Abia State benefit from the dividends of democracy under Governor Alex Otti’s administration.

During his address, Dr. Chukwu reminded HRH Ike and his entourage of Governor Otti’s promise to make Abia “first again.” He acknowledged the critical role of the traditional institution as the foundation of rural development, urging traditional rulers to embrace their responsibilities with dedication.

Dr. Chukwu also charged HRH Ike to uphold his oath of office with dignity, impartiality, and fairness, stressing that effective leadership in traditional institutions is key to advancing local communities.

In response, HRH Eze Nduchekwa Ike expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, commending Dr. Chukwu as a deserving member of Governor Otti’s cabinet. He prayed for Dr. Chukwu’s continued success and urged him to remain connected to the Mbezi community as he leads in his official duties.
