Ngodo Isuochi in Umunneochi LGA, Abia State, witnessed an outpouring of love and respect as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered on February 27, 2025, to bid farewell to Ezinne (Mrs.) Comfort Nnenna Chukwumerije. The solemn burial service was conducted by the Methodist Church (Wesley Cathedral), Ngodo Isuochi, marking the final journey of a woman celebrated for her kindness and unwavering faith.


The service was officiated by Rt. Rev. I. K. Tasie, Bishop of the Diocese of Nneochi, who delivered a powerful sermon on the theme "Who Do You Live For, What Do You Live For?" drawn from Philippians 1:21. In his message, the bishop emphasized the importance of living a purposeful life dedicated to God and humanity.


Family members, church leaders, and community elders took turns extolling the virtues of Ezinne Comfort Nnenna Chukwumerije, describing her as a pillar of strength, a devoted mother, and a source of inspiration to many. Her legacy of love, service, and deep faith in God was evident in the testimonies shared.


Her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews including Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu among other relatives, overwhelmed with emotion, expressed gratitude for the life she lived and the values she lived by. They pledged to uphold her principles of humility, integrity, and generosity that she embodied throughout her lifetime.


Dignitaries from within and outside the state graced the occasion, paying their last respects to the matriarch whose influence extended beyond her immediate family. Members of the Wesley Cathedral Choir rendered soul-lifting hymns, filling the atmosphere with reverence and reflection.

Chukwu, who described Ezinne Comfort Chukwumerije as "a beacon of wisdom and virtue, whose unwavering faith and selfless love were a guiding light to many."
