Chukwu Receives Pillar Of Hope Award At Methodist Church

The Head, Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has been honoured with the Pillar of Hope Award by Christ Methodist Church, World Bank Housing Estate, Umuahia Abia State.

The award was presented during the church’s 2025 Annual Adult Harvest and Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, 30th November, 2025 where the congregation celebrated outstanding contributions to community development and Christian service.

Presbyter of the Bethel Circuit, Very Rev. Vincent C. S. Isiocha, JP, said Dr. Chukwu was selected for the honour in recognition of his unwavering integrity, commitment to due process, dedication to humanity, and continuous support for grassroots development. He added that Dr. Chukwu’s immense assistance to Governor Alex Otti in advancing good governance in Abia State further distinguished him as a beacon of hope.

The cleric lauded Dr. Chukwu for demonstrating transparency, steadfastness, and a life that inspires confidence and optimism across the state.

Responding, Dr. Chukwu who was represented by his Executive Assistant, Mr. Arisa Udemgba and Private Secretary, Mr. Victor Ukpong, thanked the church for the honour.

He further appreciated the clergy and congregation for acknowledging his contributions and encouraged them to continue praying for and supporting Governor Otti as he drives the transformation agenda in Abia State.

Earlier in his sermon entitled: “Letting Go of the Past,” Very Rev. Isiocha urged worshippers to release past hurts, disappointments, and regrets, stressing that spiritual renewal can only flourish when believers embrace forgiveness and trust God for new beginnings.

He described Thanksgiving as a divine opportunity for renewal and realignment with God’s purpose.

The event, chaired by Dr. Adibe Ogechi, brought together dignitaries, parishioners, and friends of the church. It featured musical renditions, prayers, thanksgiving offerings, and other activities that added colour to the uplifting 2025 Harvest celebration.
