Tuesday March 11, 2025, Oluebube A. Chukwu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process and Head of the Abia State Bureau of Public Procurement, graced the Free Medical Outreach organized by Dr. Chimezie Ukaegbu, the Abia State Honourable Commissioner for Transport, in celebration of his birthday.

The outreach, held at Mbaraukwu Hall, Amuzukwu, Umuahia North Local Government Area, provided essential medical services, including eye check-ups, donation of eyeglasses, general physical checks and free medication to those in need. The initiative reflects Dr. Ukaegbu’s unwavering dedication to the health and well-being of his people.

Speaking at the event, Oluebube Chukwu praised Dr. Ukaegbu’s selfless commitment to community service, describing him as a leader who prioritizes the welfare of the people. “As we celebrate Dr. Ukaegbu today, we also recognize his relentless efforts to uplift lives through impactful initiatives. His dedication to service is truly inspiring,” he stated.

Dr. Chukwu extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Ukaegbu, hoping the new year brings him greater success, good health, and continued positive impact in the lives of many.

The medical outreach attracted a large turnout, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the much-needed healthcare support. Many residents, especially the elderly, took advantage of the free eye check-ups and received prescription glasses, while others had access to essential medications they otherwise could not afford. The initiative reflects the importance of accessible healthcare and the role of compassionate leadership in community development.

Dr. Oluebube Chukwu reaffirmed Abia State Government’s commitment to improving the well-being of its citizens through similar programs. He emphasized that Governor Alex Otti’s administration remains focused on people-oriented policies that prioritize healthcare, welfare and sustainable development.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Otti on Due Process, Dr. Chukwu, encouraged more leaders to emulate Dr. Ukaegbu’s example of giving back to the society just as he equally contributes in societal development of his Umunneochi LGA and other parts of the State through The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, stressing that collaborative efforts are key to building a healthier and more prosperous Abia.

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Engr. Ikechukwu L. Emetu and other notable government appointees graced the event.
