The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, Dr Oluebube A. Chukwu, on Tuesday, received members of the executive body of the Dr Alex Otti Ambassadors group, Umunneochi Chapter, at his office in Government House, Umuahia.
The visit, which took place on May 6, 2025, was described as a fruitful engagement aimed at strengthening collaboration between the government and grassroots-based support groups championing the reforms and vision of Governor Alex Otti.
Speaking during the meeting, the leader of the delegation, Hon. Sopuruchukwu, commended Dr Chukwu for his outstanding commitment to due process and transparency in governance, noting that his role has contributed immensely to the success of the present administration.
He also praised the Governor’s achievements in infrastructural renewal, healthcare, education, and public service reforms, stating that the Ambassadors group remains firmly committed to supporting his development agenda across the 17 LGAs of the state.
In his response, Dr Chukwu expressed appreciation to the delegation for their visit and reaffirmed the Governor's dedication to restoring integrity and accountability in public administration. He also acknowledged the efforts of grassroots groups like the Dr Alex Otti Ambassadors in deepening civic participation.
According to him, the administration’s commitment to good governance requires the continued support and constructive engagement of all stakeholders, including non-governmental platforms advocating for transparency and effective service delivery.
He encouraged the group to remain steadfast in their outreach and sensitisation campaigns on the giant strides of Governor Alex Otti's administration, especially in rural areas, and assured them of the government's readiness to engage with citizens at all levels.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties agreeing to strengthen ties and explore avenues for continued collaboration in pursuit of a prosperous Abia under Governor Otti’s leadership.
