The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, has congratulated Governor Alex Chioma Otti on the successful flag-off of his 2027 re-election campaign, reaffirming his commitment to mobilizing grassroots support for the Labour Party's victory in the forthcoming elections.
Chukwu made the statement shortly after the campaign flag-off ceremony on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at the Umuahia Township Stadium, where the governor formally launched his re-election campaign before party faithful, political stakeholders and supporters from across Abia State.
The governor's aide described the successful commencement of the campaign as a significant milestone in the party's quest to secure another four-year mandate for Otti, expressing confidence in the governor's leadership and his administration's development agenda.
He reaffirmed his loyalty and support for the governor, pledging to contribute his quota towards ensuring that the Labour Party records electoral success across Abia State in 2027.
Chukwu, who is also a grassroots political mobilizer, expressed particular determination to strengthen the party's presence in Abia North Senatorial District, especially in the Ngwa North axis, where he hails from.
He indicated his readiness to engage community leaders, political stakeholders, youth groups and other grassroots structures to promote the party's message and encourage support for Otti and other Labour Party candidates.
According to him, the forthcoming election presents an opportunity to consolidate the administration's achievements and sustain the development initiatives currently being pursued across the state.
The governor's aide's pledge comes as political activities intensify following the formal commencement of the Labour Party's 2027 campaign, with party stakeholders expected to take the campaign message to communities, wards and polling units across the state.
Governor Otti, who is seeking a second term, used the campaign flag-off to reaffirm his commitment to consolidating his administration's policies and development programmes under the theme, “The New Abia: From Rescue to Consolidation.”
Chukwu's declaration of support underscores his determination to stand with the governor and contribute to the Labour Party's grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
