Oluebube Chukwu Hails Labour Party Elective National Convention As Launchpad To 2027 Victory

A strong wave of confidence is trailing the just-concluded National Convention of the Labour Party, as key loyalists of the Abia State Governor rally support for a renewed and formidable party structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Leading this charge is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, who described the convention as more than a routine political exercise, but a decisive moment that has shaped the party’s future trajectory.

Speaking to journalists at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia, Dr. Oluebube widely regarded as a committed party man and steadfast supporter of the Governor’s reform-driven agenda, highlighted the convention as a critical opportunity to strengthen internal unity, recalibrate leadership direction, and deepen grassroots engagement nationwide.

He noted that the Labour Party stands at a pivotal crossroads, with Nigerians increasingly placing their hopes on the party as a credible alternative. According to him, the outcome of the convention must reflect a clear commitment to transparency, competence, and inclusive leadership.

In his words, the gathering has laid the groundwork for rebuilding trust within party ranks while reinforcing democratic ideals that can inspire confidence among the electorate. He stressed that unity remains the party’s greatest asset, urging stakeholders to rise above personal interests and work collectively toward a shared vision.

Dr. Oluebube further emphasized that the road to 2027 requires deliberate organization and sustained grassroots mobilization, adding that the party must leave the convention stronger, more coordinated, and fully prepared to deliver people-oriented governance.

Reaffirming his loyalty to both the party and the Governor’s progressive leadership style, he encouraged young people, women, and grassroots supporters to remain actively involved, noting that their energy and participation will be crucial in shaping the party’s success in the coming elections.

With renewed momentum from the convention, he expressed optimism that the Labour Party is steadily positioning itself as a dominant force capable of securing significant victories in 2027.
