The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Abia State on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening grassroots political participation during his visit to Umunneochi Local Government Area to drive and monitor the ongoing Labour Party membership registration exercise.

During the visit, Oluebube Chukwu actively supervised the registration process, ensuring compliance with established guidelines and smooth coordination across the Labour Party's registration centres in the LGA. The exercise was supported by highly trained ICT personnel, providing technical assistance to enhance efficiency and accuracy in data capturing.
As part of the engagement, the governor’s aide paid a courtesy visit to the Mayor of Umunneochi LGA, Chief Sunny Afurobi, at his office, where both parties exchanged pleasantries and discussed the progress of the registration exercise.

The visit also featured a stakeholders’ meeting involving key party leaders and community representatives. Discussions focused on strategies to boost membership enrollment and ensure the successful actualisation of the party’s objectives in the LGA and the state, at large.

Dr. Chukwu emphasized the importance of collective effort and grassroots mobilization in achieving a robust and inclusive membership base, noting that the ongoing exercise is crucial to strengthening democratic participation in the state.
