As Christians across Nigeria and the world mark the Easter celebration, the Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu has called on the faithful to reflect deeply on the true meaning of the season, emphasizing that Easter goes beyond festivities and social gatherings.

In his Easter message, Dr. Chukwu described the celebration as the cornerstone of the Christian faith, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the victory of life over death. 

He noted that the season serves as a powerful reminder of sacrifice, redemption, and unwavering love for humanity.

According to him, “Easter is not just a tradition but a call to live a life of purpose, selflessness, and renewed faith. The resurrection of Christ symbolizes hope for mankind, even in the face of trials and challenges.”

Dr. Chukwu urged Christians to embrace the core values of humility, forgiveness, and compassion, stressing that these virtues remain essential in building a peaceful and progressive society.

He further encouraged believers to extend love to the less privileged and foster unity within their communities.

He also highlighted the importance of spiritual renewal, calling on Christians to strengthen their relationship with God and remain steadfast in righteousness.

“As we celebrate, let us remember that the essence of Easter is sacrifice and victory. It is a time to rise above hatred, division, and despair, and embrace hope, love, and new beginnings,” he added.
