Chukwu Condoles Ndi Isuochi As Eze Ezekwesiri Goes Home

The Head, Due Process and Procurement Bureau, Abia State, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has condoled with the people of Isuochi in Umunneochi Local Government Area over the passing of their Royal Father, His Royal Majesty Eze Sir Dr. Godson Irononso Ezekwesiri, JP, KJW, DBA, COPA, the Ochi 1 of Isuochi.



Dr. Chukwu described the late monarch as a revered traditional ruler whose 51-year reign was marked by wisdom, peace, and unwavering commitment to the unity and development of Isuochi and its surrounding communities. He noted that the demise of the royal father is a great loss not only to the Isuochi community but also to Abia State as a whole.


He extolled the virtues of the late monarch and urged the people of Isuochi to sustain and uphold the enduring legacies he left behind.


The revered monarch was laid to rest on December 27, 2025, at his hometown of Umuelem, Isuochi, in Umunneochi Local Government Area, amid tears and glowing tributes. The burial ceremony attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, friends, and well-wishers from within and outside the state.


The late Eze Ezekwesiri, a respected custodian of culture and tradition, was the First Eze of Isuochi. He hailed from Umuelem, the first son of Ochi, and served as the paramount traditional ruler of the entire Isuochi community. 


He is survived by several children, including Engr. Ezekwesiri Maduabuchi, as well as numerous relatives and subjects.
