The Methodist Church Nigeria, Nneochi Diocese, Umuaku Circuit, on Sunday June 29, 2025, held an induction and reception service in honour of Very Rev. Engr. and Mrs. Emmanuel O. Ani, newly posted as Presbyter of the Umuaku Circuit. The solemn yet joyous event drew congregants, clergy, and dignitaries from within and outside Umunneochi LGA.

The program was officiated by the Bishop of Nneochi Diocese, Rt. Rev. I.K. Tasie, JP, who led the formal induction rites with spiritual authority and clarity of purpose. In a moving service sermon, Rev. Engr. Emmanuel O. Ani charged the congregation to uphold the values of faith, discipline, and unity, assuring them of his commitment to serve with diligence and love.

Speaking during the service, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, thanked the church for it has become a symbol of resilience and spiritual strength in the region. He praised the Umuaku Circuit for hosting such a significant event and for embracing the leadership of Very Rev. Engr. Ani.

Dr. Oluebube commended the character and humility of the new Presbyter, describing him as a man of rare integrity and insight. “Rev. Ani represents a remarkable blend of spiritual grace and intellectual capacity. His leadership will surely elevate the Circuit to greater heights of immense development” he said.
He further congratulated Rev. Ani and his wife on their new assignment, assuring them of the community’s support. He expressed confidence that their presence would inspire renewed energy and growth within the church and its surrounding communities.
Dr. Chukwu received episcopal blessings from the Bishop, who equally prayed for the continued success of the Alex Otti Administration in Abia State. Thus the service featured heartfelt worship, prayers, and blessings, with members and visiting clergy expressing joy at the occasion. Several church groups presented gifts and tributes, marking the reception with warmth and honour.
Accompanying Dr. Chukwu to the Induction Service held at Jacob Achara Methodist Church Umuaku Circuit were the Director of The Oluebube A. Chukwu Foundation, Dr. Ijeoma Enyioma, and Community Liaison Officer to Dr. Chukwu, Ogbuehi Iro Chieki Okwuegbule.
As the event concluded, the congregation gathered outside the church for photographs and refreshments, closing the day with an air of hope and anticipation for a vibrant new chapter in the life of the Umuaku Circuit under Rev. Engr. Ani’s stewardship.
