The Head, Abia State Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Late Pa Edwin Samuel Madu, describing the deceased as a principled, forthright, and God-fearing man whose life touched many within and beyond his community.

Dr. Chukwu, who disclosed this during the funeral held on Friday, 28th November 2025, at the family's compound at Ozuorji, Amuda Isuochi, Umunneochi Local Government Area (LGA) Abia state, noted that Pa Madu lived a life anchored on integrity, discipline, and strong moral values. He urged the children and extended family to immortalize their father’s legacy by carrying on the noble path he laid.
“Late Pa Madu was a man of truth and character. His commitment to family, community, and the things of God is worthy of emulation. I encourage his children to uphold and reflect the moral standards he taught and lived by,” Dr. Chukwu further stated.

The funeral service, conducted by Grace Methodist Church, Amuda Isuochi, drew relatives, friends, community members, and well-wishers who gathered to honour the life of the departed.

In his sermon, the officiating minister, Rev. Chris Ekeoma Udeagha, extolled the virtues of the late Pa Madu, describing him as a devoted Christian, a peaceful family man, and a shining example of humility and service. He called on Christian faithful to emulate the exemplary lifestyle of the deceased.
“Pa Madu lived a life pleasing to God. He showed love, patience, and kindness in all his dealings. If every Christian lived like he did, our society would be a better place,” Rev. Udeagha preached.

He urged the congregation to reflect on the reality of life and death and to live purposefully in accordance with God's will. He equally commiserated with his long time ally, Hon. Emeka "Kuseman" Madu who's a son to the departed patriarch.

The funeral ceremony was marked by tributes, hymns, and expressions of gratitude to God for a life well spent. The community also prayed for strength and comfort for the Madu family as they navigate this period of loss.
